Even for me – a photographer – I still need other creative things to do and try that are outside of photography. I’ve liked to draw ever since I was a kid and now I find it really meditative. It really puts me in that calm zen state. I prefer colored pencils or markers which are completely opposite! When I want to be more in control I go for the pencils. When I want to be quick I go for the markers.⠀

Cooking, hand lettering, tie dye and paper crafts are other ways that get my creative juices flowing. I’m definitely happiest when I’m making something!⠀

I have a long list of things I want to try like knitting, crocheting, punch hooking and mosaics. Have you tried any of these?⠀

My first completed drawing of 2020. I actually did 2 versions. One was just a line drawing. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to color it in so I chose to draw another. Now I have both! 🙂
