Over the summer I was reading the book The Artist’s Way and absolutely loved it! The book is formatted like a workshop broken down into weeks rather than chapters. I got up to week 8 of 12 and then the girls went back to school, schedules changed and I never finished. I recently thought it would be a great idea to start from the beginning so now I’m back to week 1. Two of the main tasks mentioned in the book are morning pages (journaling) and artist dates.
I’m thankfully got to go over to Wave Hill for an artist date to photograph the once-a-year-in-bloom flowers called Glory In The Snow. It’s really magical and surreal to see these little blue flowers pop up all over the place! It’s great inspiration for all art forms. I can picture these in the scene of a movie. Can’t you?
Not sure when Wave Hill will reopen again or when I’ll be going outside for an artist date. I’ll just have to keep the creativity going on indoors!
