Art A Day Challenge

A couple of weeks ago I was nominated by an artist friend of mine to participate in a challenge – to post a piece of art on Facebook for 10 days and each day nominate a different artist. I said yes and I have to say it was a great experience for many reasons…

  • It kept me accountable
  • It kept me creative – doing something creative each day
  • It allowed me to network and connect with other artists
  • It kept me visible on social media – sometimes it’s easier to hide and not show our work
  • It inspired me to see such creative work from other artists.

These are the 10 pieces I posted – some with a background story along with the post.

If you want to see the original posts and read the background stories you can check out my Facebook profile here. One of the images was even inspired by a trip to Costco! Inspiration can really come from anywhere if you’re alert to it!

This was such a great experience I thought – why should I stop?!? So I’m going to continue on! If you’re an artist and want to join in let me know your Facebook profile and I’ll nominate you in an upcoming post.

Since I was getting inquiries on some of the pieces I decided to add a few to my ETSY Shop. Check it out here and if there’s an image that you love but it’s not in the shop let me know and I can add it. I can also take requests for different sizes as well. Smallest is 8X10.
