I don’t know about you but I get soooo inspired by the Fall season! I’m making an effort to step away from my computer and go out as much as I can to soak up all of the amazingness of the Fall foliage. In a blink of an eye it’ll soon be gone! The weather has been usually warm here in NYC so it makes it even better!
I love going on photo walks around my neighborhood but this year I’ve also taken road trips up to New England. The drive is breathtaking!
I’ve been busy creating new art and having so much fun with it – all inspired by what I’ve been seeing on my photo walks. It’s a departure from what I normally create, but honestly I felt like I was ready to shake things up a bit! I haven’t been this excited in a long time and now I’m ready to share them with you!
In my past work I strived to give my photographs a painterly aesthetic by adding textures, changing colors, etc. I’ve taken it to a new level with some more digital painting techniques. There’s even more texture and lots of movement to convey the energy and inspiration of Autumn.
The new collection is called Embracing Change. Just as the changing of the leaves feels almost magical and beautiful during Autumn, it’s a reminder that other changes in our lives can be that way too. The sooner we embrace, rather than resist, the happier we’ll be!
