Fall is my favorite time of year in NY for a photo walk. The colors are spectacular! Photo walks are not only a great way to learn and experiment with photography but it’s also great for practicing mindfulness!
Before the pandemic, I led some group photo walks and I’ve decided to do them again!
Each group will be limited to 6 participants so that I can give you as much personalized attention as possible. While this isn’t a technical photography class, I’ll be sharing…
- tips on how to improve your photography
- how to be intentional with the photos you create
- how to start to see differently
- I’ll be there to answer your questions about camera or phone settings (I’m a Canon girl but photography principles are the same across all brands)
- tips on editing and sharing on social media
If you’ve been wanting to improve your photography skills, give yourself some much needed creativity time, be out in nature and meet new people, I invite you to join me for one of my upcoming photo walks!
What To Expect
We’ll meet as a group, introduce ourselves and start with one of my favorite mindfulness tools – journaling! This will help to clear our minds so we can focus and be more in the moment. No worries if you’ve never journaled before! I’ll guide you through it!
As we walk I’ll share tips and you can get your questions answered. The “lessons” will be created organically based on the questions and needs of the group. The session will be about 1.5 hours. You’ll get to learn photography in a hands on, relaxed format.
Where – Untermyer Gardens, Yonkers NY.
Admission to the garden is free and there is parking both on premises and outside on the street. There’s a bathroom and nearby restaurants if you want to get something to eat afterwards
